Authorities in downtown Los Santos reported a thwarted armed robbery early Wednesday morning at Rob’s Liquor, located in the heart of the commercial district. A suspect entered the establishment around 6:45 a.m., brandishing a firearm, and approached the counter demanding cash from behind the register. Despite the threat, the store’s owner remained composed, quickly grabbing a significant portion of the day's earnings before the intruder could make off with them.

Witnesses described a chaotic but brief confrontation lasting less than two minutes. The suspect, described as wearing dark clothing, appeared frustrated as the proprietor secured the bulk of the funds in a secure safe. Undeterred by the loss, the robber waited for the owner to finish counting before making a run for the exit. Police arrived on scene within five minutes, cordoning off the area with yellow tape to preserve evidence and interview witnesses.

"He came in fast, gun drawn, but Bob has been running this place for thirty years," said one local resident who witnessed the event from across the street. "You could see Bob sliding money into the safe just as the guy was yelling at him. He got about half of what he wanted, but it was enough to stop the kid in his tracks." Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage to identify the perpetrator.

No injuries were reported, and the firearm used was later recovered near the scene, though its model remains unclear. The downtown precinct has increased patrols in the area following three other robbery attempts this month. Rob’s Liquor is expected to reopen for business as usual by this afternoon.
